"Red Rock Canyon was spectacular. A hidden gem 17 miles from the Las Vegas strip. It is a must see while visiting Las Vegas. The days temperature reached over 100 degrees so our hiking was limited. We hiked the Calico Tank Trailhead 1.10 miles in length and was an easy hike. Minor to no elevation changes for the first half of the trailer but be prepared for several elevation changes by way of some rock climbing for the duration of the hike. Wear comfortable shoes and bring plenty of water for this hike. We also stopped at the scenic overlook looking back towards the Welcome Center, it's a must see. We also stopped at the scenic overlook on Hwy 159 looking back up towards the canyon, again it's a must see. Entry fee was $20 for our car to enter the park. Lastly, be sure to stop at the Welcome Center a opportunity for education, souvenir, and of course your National Park stamp. Restrooms are plentiful along the scenic loop but no water is available, be sure to come prepared with plenty of water."
"Driving through red rock with all the beautiful trails and scenery was breathtaking.. I stopped to take many pictures and shoot some videos of our beautiful state and nature. If you wanna get away, this is a place to escape and enjoy beautiful landscapes.Hiking trails.. What a beautiful way to spend a day in our beautiful parks..❤️"
"Red Rock Canyon was an amazing experience and easily one of the best scenic drives around Las Vegas. The dramatic red rock formations, desert landscape, and beautiful mountain views make the entire drive worth it. It almost feels like a baby version of the Grand Canyon, but with its own unique character. There are plenty of beautiful viewpoints along the way where you can stop, take photos, and simply enjoy the scenery. Every turn seems to reveal another incredible view. It’s also a perfect escape from the lights, casinos, and crowds of the Strip. If you have a car and a few hours to spare while in Vegas, definitely put Red Rock Canyon on your list. Another bonus: the America the Beautiful Annual Pass is accepted here for the standard entrance fee, so bring it along if you have one. The drive itself is part of the experience. Absolutely worth visiting! 🌄"
